Viviana Verde is currently working on her PhD in the subproject S01Effects of Steroid Hormones on Brain Networks for Affective Behavior- of the Collaborative Research Centre Sexdiversity – Determinants, Meanings and Implications of Gender Diversity in Sociocultural, Medical, and Biological Contexts (CRC 1665) at the Institute of Medical Psychology of Lübeck.

Viviana completed her master’s degree in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Trento. In 2023, she did the Erasmus program at Ghent University, where she conducted an internship and completed her master’s thesis. Her thesis, titled "The effect of gamified cognitive control training on depressive symptoms: Does user engagement matter?", investigated the moderating role of individual engagement factors in predicting task-specific and emotional transfer outcomes of cognitive control training. This experience deepened her interest in exploring interindividual differences in human brain structure and function and related behaviors.
