M02: Programming of transcriptional identity in response to oestrogens and androgens in developing human brain cells
In this project, human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) will be used as a model system to analyze sex chromosome and sex hormone action during early stages of human brain development as well as during GnRH+ neuronal differentiation in 46,XX, 46,XY and sex hormone receptor-deficient cells. Specifically, two hiPSCs derived from patients with complete androgen insensitivity (CAIS) generated for this project will be used.
